Be a Pollinator Pot Hero!
75% of our insects have disappeared in the last 30 years....?
Less insects (such as bees, butterflies, ladybirds etc) = less birds (such as house sparrows, blackbirds, wrens, swallows, robins etc) and less hedgehogs, spiders, bats, fish, frogs and toads.

Science workshops that complement the
KS1 & KS2 Science Curiculum

Children will sow wildflower seeds in compostable pots which can be placed

directly into the ground either at home or at school.

Each plant has been carefully chosen because they are beneficial to pollilnators

and should grow easily in most gardens or patio container.

In addition to increasing  biodiversity, the project involves multiple opportunites for

scientific study in line with areas of the Key Stage 1 and 2 Science Curriculum.

Workshops take place during normal school hours and are delivered by experienced practioners with enhanced DBS certificates, risk assessments and public liability insurance.  A typical workshop lasts 45 minutes per class of 30 children and can be fitted around normal school breaks and lunch time.

Every child takes home a Pollinator Pot 'Party Bag' - 3 compostable pots sown with wildflower seeds, ready to put straight into their garden or containers at home.

All materials are provided - we simply ask you to provide hall space and colouring pencils!
